Anna's Groovy Grove

Welcome to Groovy Grove! I'm Anna, webmother of this site. On the right is a picture of the steps I made leading into the grove at my home in South West Wales.
When I put the website for The-Tree.org.uk together, my hope was that it will grow into a site with many active participants. A place where all sorts of people from various backgrounds can feel at home and contribute.

However, I'm someone with a few 'hobby horses' (or in my case: broomsticks?), which not all tree lovers or green activists may resonate to, so I decided to indulge myself and create 'Anna's Groovy Grove'. This will be a place for some more personal stuff and reflections.
Tree Medicine, for example, has always been a special area of interest all through my adult life to the extent that I've been thinking for a lot of years now of the possibility of creating a "Foundation for British Tree Medicine". So you will find a lot of information on the healing properties of British Trees here and I hope to extend this much further, whenever I can find the time to process my many note books, scraps of paper and other info I've collected over long years.

No doubt you will also notice, if you read some of the articles I've written for The-Tree, that I'm a Pagan by Nature. This means to me that I feel that the Earth is a living creature and that all physical substance, as well as energies carry consciousness. Are probably the manifestation of some bit of consciousness.
My 'sacred book' is the unfolding of Nature all around me and I believe that Divine Consciousness (or whatever you prefer to call 'it'), is present in everything, the creatures, the water, the air, the stones and the soil. To me all names are God's/Goddess' names.
I appreciate that many people do not agree with this Pagan view and some do not care at all about religion.
Whatever your beliefs, I hope you will feel welcome at The-Tree website. Any contributions describing how your own spirituality relates to Nature and the Trees are of course most welcome and will balance my own!
Personally, I have gained tremendous riches learning about the great treasure of religious beliefs we have on this Earth and I respect the immense wisdom, tradition and beauty that lies at the root of all religions. Just such a shame we don't practice it!
I have a particular soft spot for Buddhism, because of its lovely qualities of non-violence, great compassion and tolerance.

Anyhow, the offerings in this grove are some of the issues I feel passionately about. There will be more in the future, so if you like what you find here, please visit again.

May all beings be happy!
Blessed Be and love to all of you!
